Announcements

  1. Mr. Sasse has two Zoom meetings today, from 9:30-10:45 and from 2:00-4:00. I won’t be able to chat or help during those times, but leave a comment and I will reply as soon as I can.
  2. Please complete the middle school registration form ASAP.

  • Coming up THIS WEEK:
    • Monday at 11:00am: One and Only Ivan Book Chat Zoom. Come to discuss One and Only Ivan with Mr. Sasse. If you come to this Zoom, you will get to skip the reading assignment for today. Optional. Click here to join.
    • Monday at 4:30pm: Mindfulness Monday with Ms. Hande! Click here to join. Optional.
    • Tuesday at 9:30am: Zoom Math help with Mr. Sasse. If you need help with math, come to this Zoom. Optional.
    • Wednesday at 12 noon: All fifth grade Zoom. Required attendance. We will be saying hello to each other and chatting for the first 10 minutes, and then Mr. Sasse and Ms. Micev will be going over directions for a major writing assignment. This session will be recorded and posted later in case you can’t come to the Zoom. Click here to join.
    • TOMORROWย any time between 10am-1pm: Zoom Math Help with Mr. Sasse. If you need Math Help, send Mr. Sasse a chat and he will Zoom with you to help you with your math.
    • Friday at 11:00am: Fun Friday! GimKit and Kahoot Math Facts on Zoom. You’ll need your Chromebook to Zoom and a smartphone or tablet for GimKit and Kahoot. Optional.

Mr.Sasse I wonโ€™t be able to join the zoom because my brother has an AP EXAM practice test and no one is allowed to be on the internet at 12:00. Is there a different way I can see the assignment?

Did you know that if you were to jump in a pool with a layer of liquid nitrogen on top nothing would happen? Or maybe that if you jumped into a pool full of stomach acid you would just have to get out quickly and you’d be fine? Or that if someone is brain dead all of their organs still work just fine? Or that there is something called locked-in syndrome which means you are completely aware of all of your surroundings but can’t move or communicate? have it or have had it. #3 a nearby star breaking its orbit. If a new star breaks from it’s solar system and its trajectory decides to land in ours, we’re goners. #4 the sun’s luminosity going down. The sun gives off so much energy, if we were able to get 1/8 of the sun’s energy, we could extend our lifespan by millions of years.
